Taco offers genuine Revit files

Taco is proud to be the first Pump/Systems manufacturer to offer  genuine Revit family files rather than only Revit “compatible” files.  The differences between the two types of files are significant.  A true Revit family file, with the extension *.rfa, contains both a three dimensional model and specific properties about the product such as flow/head, horsepower, pressure rating, connection sizes, etc.  When added to a Revit mechanical system drawing, these properties are shared with other components in the system, much like casino online in the HS2 software.  A Revit “compatible” file, usually a *.sat extension, has only a dimensioned model with no properties. These “compatible” files are what many in the industry are touting as Revit drawings, however they are very limited in their cross-compatibility, and are essentially only a vector drawing.

Additional Taco products are continuously being added to the *.rfa file library and being made available on the TACO-HVAC and Autodesk Seek websites.  If you don”t see what you need for a current project situation, please give us a call.

Catalogs, submittal data sheets, full size performance curves, and replacement part sheets are available on TACO-HVAC.com
